We have previously sold this fish as "Denton", but the Moroccan exporter has latterly been brushing up his labelling to include scientific names. This reveals the fish to be "Couch's Sea Bream"... which is not exactly a winner from a marketing point of view. However, armed with the scientific name, we have discovered that in the USA, this fish is known as Red Porgy, which has a ring to it. To complete the nomenclatures, the name most widely applied to it in the Mediterranean is Pagro. That may well be all you need to know about names. Whatever you call it, this is an endearingly inexpensive and tasty little snapper which makes a great "on-the-bone" meal. Cleaned and ready to go. One fish per pack, unless specified.
