Are your plates big enough for our plaice fillets? Wonderful breadcrumbed and fried, but to ring the changes, add a teaspoon of Chinese five-spice powder to seasoned flour then dip fillets in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs and fry as usual. Serve with sliced spring onions and diced fresh tomatoes lightly sauteed in butter and a little soy sauce.
