This large predatory freshwater fish is also known as the pike-perch, although it has been its own species for aeons and probably never had anything to do pike. It's quite popular in Europe and although widespread in many British rivers and canals (to which it was introduced a hundred years ago), has virtually zero presence on our tables. But you can have it on yours... It has excellent sweet white flesh.
