We source these halibut from a farm on the Scottish Isle of Gigha. They are the model of modern aquaculture; the halibut are well looked after and only fed organic feed with no additives. Halibut fillet portions are expertly cut from the slender tail part of the fish. Whilst these have the same great quality in taste and texture, if you are looking to make an impressive plate for a dinner party, you'll want to shop these Halibut Fillet Steaks. Halibut has a subtle sweet and mild taste with firm flesh which absorbs seasoning exceptionally well. Despite halibut not being deemed an 'oily fish', it is high in Omega 3s; essential nutrients that regulate your brains structure and ability to perform.

Sustainability - Our rating 9/10

Farmed on the beautiful Isle of Gigha in Scotland. The halibut are raised in a land-based farm. Land-based farming eliminates the impact on the sea that can be seen with sea pen farming. The Marine Conservation's Good Fish Guide rates this halibut as a 'Best Choice' fish.
