Product Information

Herring has a great flavour and is exceptionally good for you, being full of useful oils. True, it’s not short of small bones, but with a little experience and care, you’ll be lifting the flesh off the bones without a second thought. These fish are cleaned and ready to cook. We sell the herring in packs of two whole fish. We juggle our supply between British fish and Norwegian fish,iIf we can't source the British herring we can usually rely on a Norwegian supply. The oil in herring lends itself well to smoking and curing. We sell a wide range of traditionally prepared herring, see our kippers and marinated herring
