These Kingklip are lovely big fish from the New Zealand coast. South Africans will need to be advised that it’s a slightly different species from theirs, but hey, we DEFY you to tell them apart. Kingklip has colourful red and brown skin, the flesh is pure white with flakey muscle typical of white fish such as cod or haddock. Just in case you didn’t catch the spelling, it’s kingklip, not king klip, kingclip or king clip. Also known as pink cusk eel or rosada, or in NZ, ling. We pack two fillet steaks per pack. All of the steaks and portions are skin-on, partly because the skin is a pretty pinkish brown and partly because it cooks better skin-on. Supply of kingklip can be variable and so if we're out of stock just drop us an email and ask when we expect to have it back.

  • This kingklip is from New Zealand
