Howzit! Heita! South Africa's favourite fish is not an easy find in the UK. Congratulations! You found it. We source our kingklip from New Zealand, the finest palette couldn't distinguish. We think it's superb! You'll find kingklip fillet steaks and other cuts elsewhere on our site. This is the whole fillet, it arrives frozen with the skin on and boneless, once defrosted it can be grilled or baked whole if you're looking for a nice centerpiece. Kingklip, if you haven't tried it, has a lovely white flake similar to cod. It has a density that holds together very well, for a braai or even in a soup or stew.

Sustainability - our rating 7/10

Kingklip is a well managed species, sourced from New Zealand. Our Kingklip fishery is MSC certified.
