The ling is a cousin of the cod and haddock, and you can do all the same things with it. The biggest difference is ling have a longer, more tapered body. We cut these loin steaks from the thicker top part of the fillet by the neck of the fish. Our team pin bones these loin steaks before packing, but be warned there may be a few that remain! They are best removed after cooking but before serving. Ling fillets are part of our everyday fish range, represents good value and versatility. It has large white flakes like cod, can be grilled, baked or fried.
