This cousin of the barramundi is one of the largest-growing freshwater fish in the world, regularly attaining 50kg or more. It therefore yields magnificent large boneless steaks with a solid texture more akin to meat than fish. Ours come from Lake Victoria in Uganda/Tanzania and we have been very impressed with the quality.
