New from October 2021.....No additives of any kind - just 100% prawn. We spent 12 months looking for the most eco-friendly prawn on the planet. Without doubt, this is it. It has been traditionally farmed in Indonesia by methods which go back 500 years. No antibiotics, no manufactured feed, no water aeration... not the slightest sniff of intensive prawn production methods which bring you most king prawns including most of ours. Think 750 kgs of prawns per hectare per year against 50,000 kgs from alternative methods.

Yup - they cost more. Yup – they’re half the size of our normal offering (still very respectable as king prawns go). Yup – they are the top drawer.

We have invested a lot of time and money reviewing many prawn producers' claims around sustainability. There is no doubt that retailer and consumer pressure is lifting standards in the prawn farming industry. But this producer stands out from all others by its steadfast commitment to traditional low intensity methods.
