Product Information
- Petite version of scallops
- Less pricey than scallops
- Sometimes with coral, sometimes no coral
The queen scallop or queenie is a smaller cousin of the king scallop. It has the same culinary potential but you get a lot more for your money. Depending on the season and other factors, sometimes we'll send you queens with coral (the red bit) and sometimes without. Our queens are individually frozen but it must be said, each has a heavy ice jacket. However, the weight quoted is the defrosted weight after this has defrosted and drained away.
