Herring melt crostini with pickled red cabbage
Ingredients
454g block of herring melts
4 slices of white sourdough
Jar of pickled red cabbage with apple, we recommend ‘Jar of Drivers’
1/2 juice of lemon
Small bunch of dill, chopped
Cooking steps
Step 1
Meanwhile toast the sourdough and spread with butter.
Step 2
In a non stick pan heat the butter and add the melts, cook gently until they just curl.
Step 3
When the melts are cooked through, stir the dill through and spoon over the hot toast
Step 4
Finish with the pickled red cabbage or serve aside so that you can add as much or as little as you like.
