Tuna Poke Bowl with Kale and Edamame

This sushi bowl is rice, kale and edamame beans topped with some tuna sashimi and seasoning. It can be whipped up in a snap and tastes great.

Tuna Poke Bowl with Kale and Edamame

A traditional Japanese tuna sashimi poke bowl mixed with kale and edamame beans to add crunch and green colour

Ingredients

300g sashimi tuna

1 cup sushi rice

100g kale leaves

Zest of one lemon

1/2 tsp Chinese five spice

1/2 tsp black onion seeds

1/2 tsp sesame seeds

1 tsp sesame oil

pinch of salt

140g thawed, frozen edamame beans

Finely diced red chilli

Cooking steps

Step 1

Cook sushi rice according to packets instruction and season

Step 2

Blanche kale and refresh in ice water. Put the kale into a bowl along with the rice and beans.

Step 3

Chop tuna into 1cm chucks and combine in a bowl with lemon rind, Chinese five spice, onion seeds, sesame oil and sesame seeds

Step 4

Place the tuna onto of the rice along with the chilli and enjoy.

What you’ll need
