Surimi Angulas is the guilt free way of enjoying baby eels. Made from surimi, this product is a great imitation of real baby eels, with not a hint of eel in site. As the cost of baby eels skyrocketed over the years due to demand, one absolute genius decided to enlist a few very clever people to help him create an alternative that would give people the same experience of eating baby eel (Angulas as they're called) but at more than half the price. The traditional way to serve baby eels is to fry them in garlic and chilli, and honestly it's the best way to enjoy this product as well. You can of course use it in many recipes, but we like to stick with the traditional. You could be a bit more adventurous and try making a surimi angulas omlette.
Sunflower oil (53%), Surimi (44%) (white fish, potato starch, egg albumin, flavour enhancer: (E-621), stabilisers: (E-407, E-401 and E-415) and cephalopod ink), salt, spices and garlic.
