  • Each pack contains one whole salmon that has been gutted and cleaned

  • One 2000g fish could easily serve about 8 to 10 people

Our organic salmon is farmed in the Shetland Isles to the standards of The Organic Food Federation. It’s paler than normal farmed salmon. If the salmon is the only item you are serving as the main course, you will need about 200g of whole fish per serving (which, ignoring the bones, will give you 130g of meat). A 2400g fish will just about squeeze into a standard 24-inch / 60 cms fish kettle. For larger fish, you’ll need to remove the head and tail.  But if your fish weighs over 4kg, you’ll be cooking it in your oven, wrapped in foil. This method works very well. All our salmon has been cleaned and descaled.
