Herring melt crostini with pickled red cabbage
Crostini appetizers for four people or for two if you fancy a big starter or main course. The perfect combination of soft melts with the crunch from the pickled red cabbage.
Delicious and light.
What you’ll need
- 454g block of herring melts
- 4 slices of white sourdough
- Jar of pickled red cabbage with apple, we recommend ‘Jar of Drivers’
- 1/2 juice of lemon
- Small bunch of dill, chopped
Let's Cook!
Step 1
Meanwhile toast the sourdough and spread with butter.
Step 2
In a non stick pan heat the butter and add the melts, cook gently until they just curl.
Step 3
When the melts are cooked through, stir the dill through and spoon over the hot toast
Step 4
Finish with the pickled red cabbage or serve aside so that you can add as much or as little as you like.
