Pan Frying King Scallops

A super quick and simple recipe for pan frying King Scallops.

Ingredients

King Scallops

Sea salt

Oil

Butter

Cooking steps

Step 1

Place the scallops onto some kitchen roll to dry them, making sure to turn them over so both sides are covered.
Once dried season the scallops with a good amount of sea salt.

Step 2

Put a good amount of oil into the pan and wait for it to heat up.
Place the scallops into the pan seasoned side down, making sure to leave a good amount of space between them.
Add some more salt on top to season the other side.

Step 3

After about 2 or 3 minutes, check to see if the scallops are going golden brown on the bottom.
If they are turn them over, again making sure to leave space.
After turning add some butter to the pan.

Step 4

Wait for the butter to melt and caramelise, then tilt the pan towards yourself and baste each of the scallops.
After basting, simply serve and enjoy.
