King crab claws, in chilli and garlic
A luxurious king crab recipe which will serve 2 people for a starter. King crab clusters with a spicy garlicky lemon sauce.
What you’ll need
- 1 cooked king crab cluster
- 5-8 birds eye chillies
- 5 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- lime wedges to serve

Step 1
Break the king crab claws into 3/4 sections per arm using a cleaver being careful to remove any splintered pieces of shell. At this stage you can either leave in the shell to enjoy cathartically removing as you eat them or you can cut down each shell and remove the chunks of meat before proceeding so you can eat more delicately… either way the cooking process is the same
Step 2
Once your crab is prepared carefully prick each chilli before place into the oil along with the garlic in a non stick wok- bring to a fear heat
Step 3
Once hot and chillies and garlic are sizzling, throw in the crab claws either in shells or not followed by the sweet chilli sauce, stir fry for 2 mins if out of shell and 5-6 if still in shell.
Step 4
Enjoy with wedges of lime
