The Fish Society Miso Black Cod Fillets With Sesame Greens & Ginger Rice

- 2 Fish Society Miso Black Cod fillets
- 150g jasmine or sushi rice
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp caster sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 garlic clove, finely sliced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- Pak choi / tenderstem broccoli / spinach (or a mix)
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Spring onions, finely sliced
- Lime wedge or yuzu juice
Let's Cook!
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C
Step 2
Rinse and cook the rice according to packet instructions. Once cooked, fluff and gently fold through the rice vinegar (and sugar if using). Keep warm.
Step 3
Place the miso black cod fillets on a lined tray
Step 4
Roast for 12–15 minutes until caramelised on top and just flaking.
Step 5
Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add greens and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until just tender. Splash in soy sauce at the end.
Step 6
Spoon rice onto plates, top with the sesame greens, then gently place the miso black cod on top. Finish with sesame seeds, spring onions and a squeeze of lime.
