Eel

Here we have the freshwater eel. Famously slippery and slithering. If these characteristics give you the shivers, well. we're sorry for you. WHAT A GORGEOUS, RICH FISH! However, as of summer 2021, we have decided that we must discontinue sales of eel items. For all sorts of reasons - overfishing is not in fact the main culprit - it's endangered in the wild and no-one has figured out how to farm it. So in the name of sustainability, any eel you still find on sale here will be the last.
