Pouting - sometimes known as "bib" - is a smaller cousin of the cod. No fisherman will go hunting for pouting, but it is often landed as a by-catch. It's not up there with cod and haddock in eating terms, but the price is very favourable and with a few adornments, pouting can make a decent meal. However, being small, you'll need two fillets to make a fair serving.
