Scampi is the peeled tail of langoustine, which is a large prawn sometimes big enough to look like a small lobster. 95% of scampi is swathed in breadcrumbs - and if there's plenty of scampi inside... very nice too. Another 4.5% comes coated in batter - mmmm. And the remainder comes naked - peeled with no coating - special beyond words. We try to stock all three, but sometimes we run out of the naked and the battered.
