This is the same prawn as our Best North Atlantic Peeled Prawn, but it’s still in its shell. Often served in pubs as ’a pint of prawns’. Easy to peel, an exercise which adds character to your meal. These little prawns have been cooked and only need defrosting before you serve them up with a salad or as part of your plat des fruits de mer. They're individually frozen so you only need to get out what you need and can leave the rest in your freezer. Prawns carry their eggs between their legs for up to 11 months after conception. Therefore they often include eggs, which are delicious to eat. The fishery in Greenland is well managed.

Our cold water prawns are from the MSC-certified sustainable fisheries of Greenland. The fishery has gone through a number of independent certifications to receive this status in 2012 and again in 2018. The take from the fishery is below the maximum sustainable yield, meaning the stock is growing. The 'Good Fish Guide' rate them as a 'best choice' seafood.
