Squid & Octopus

Tentacle city!

You might not do tentacles and suckers, but who can resist battered squid rings? If these fish make you shudder, remember that they are considered as delicacies in the Mediterranean and Pacific. Squid - or calamari - in particular is a wonderful fish for cooking, and squid tubes come without tentacles. The meat is very firm - totally non-flakey - and can be served in dozens of ways. For octopus, the glory IS the tentacle, which we offer whole or sliced. Or just take a whole Portuguese octopus. And then there's the cuttlefish - like squid but the meat is much thicker. Despite appearances, these are all shellfish, and are collectively known as cephalopods.
